FULafia VC appoints new dean, others

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has appointed Prof. M. D. Salihu of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, FULafia, as the Dean of the Faculty.

Prof.Salihu’s appointment takes effect from February 12, 2026, and it would last for a period of two years.

Also, the vice-chancellor has approved the appointment of Dr Dogo Bitrus Ajeye of the Department of Geography in the Faculty of Environmental Design as the Acting Head of the Department of Quantity Survey for a period of one year and appointed Dr Abejide Lewis Emmanuel Olumuyiwa of the Department of Geography as the Acting Head of Department of Urban and Regional Planning for a period of one year effective immediately. 

The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued by the University's Registrar, Dr Nuradeen Abdu.

The appointments, the statement said, were aimed at aiding the University’s administrative and academic structures and enhancing service delivery efficiently across the institution.
