Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Tinted Glass Permit 

Visit the POSSAP portal: Open your preferred web browser and go to https://possap.gov.ng. The URL is the official portal launched by the police force for registration of tinted vehicle windows.

On the landing page, click on the sign up button located at top-right corner of the page. This will then open the sign up page

Sign up using your NIN, BVN: On the signup page, select either Individual  for individual registration or Corporate/NGOs if you are registering as a corporate body.

Next, select your mode of identification. For individual, the valid identification number accepted is NIN and BVN while you will need TIN if you are registering as a Corporate body/NGO.

Fill the NIN, BVN or TIN, in the “Identification number” field and click “Proceed”.

If the NIN, BVN or TIN you submitted is correct, you will be directed to the page where you can complete your registration.

On this page, submit your full name and phone number is automatically populated from your identification number database. You will only need to manually fill other information including your email, gender, state, LGA, address and your password.

Just fill the correct information and click “Create Account”.

Verify your account:  After creating account, a mail will be sent to your email address you submitted in the signup form. Check your email inbox for a verification code. Enter this code on the portal to verify your account.

If you do not find the code in your inbox, check your spam folder to see if it delivered to the spam folder.

Enter the verification code on the website and submit to complete verification of your email address.

Log in to your account: After your account is successfully verified,  Go back to the login page on the portal portal and enter your email address and password, and click Login.

Select the tinted glass permit service: On your dashboard, click on Select Service and choose Tinted Glass Permit.

Fill in your vehicle details and upload documents: Enter all vehicle information requested and upload the necessary supporting documents (e.g., proof of ownership, insurance, etc.).

Confirm details and submit: Carefully review all the details you entered. Once everything is accurate, submit your application.

Make payment: Follow the payment instructions to complete the necessary fee.

Schedule vehicle inspection and biometric capture: After successful payment, you’ll receive a schedule for your vehicle inspection and biometric capture at your selected NPF Intelligence Department.
