How to Activate USSD Code for Polaris Bank Account Using *833#

Step 1: Check If You’re Already Registered on PolarisMobile

Before taking any step, you need to be certain that you haven’t previously registered for Polaris USSD banking.

Dial *833# from the mobile number that is registered on your Polaris bank account to confirm the status.

After dialing the code, if you gain access to the *833# Smart Banking menu. It means that you are already registered. From there, you can perform banking transactions like money transfers, airtime top-ups, bill payments, and more.If you see the screen below, prompting you to type your date of birth to setup your pin. It means your account is linked to the phone number but you are not registered yet in the USSD.

If you see the screen below prompting you to open an account. It means you dialed the code on a number that is not registered with a Polaris account.

If you’ve not registered yet, don’t worry; follow the steps below. 

Step 2: Dial *833# from Your Polaris Bank Registered Line

Open your call dialer app on your mobile phone and dial *833#, then press the call/send button.

Tip: Make sure you are dialing the code on the code using the phone number linked to your Polaris account.

This will launch the Polaris USSD banking menu.

Step 3: Enter Your Polaris Bank Account details 

You will be prompted to enter your correct date of birth that is registered on your Polaris Bank account number.

Type in the correct date of birth and press send to proceed. 

Note: In some cases, you may also be prompted to enter your account number. Submit your account number if you receive the prompt.

Step 4: Create a 4-Digit PIN

After submitting your date of birth and account number, you will now be asked to create a 4-digit PIN that you’ll use to authorize future transactions via USSD.

Choose a PIN you can easily remember, but avoid using obvious combinations like “1234” or your birth year for security purposes.

Type  your chosen PIN and submit.

Note: The PIN you submitted is your personal banking security code, which should be kept private.

After you have set your PIN, the system will then display the *833# Smart Banking menu where you can choose an any action to perform with your account.

This means your USSD registration is complete and your Polaris Bank USSD banking is now active.
