How to check NABTEB results Online and by SMS

Are you looking for how to check your NABTEB examination result?

If you recently sat for the NABTEB examination or have a candidate that you want to assist to check their result, you are in the right place. The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has made it quite easy  for candidates to access results for their exams and there are two methods available to check the result.

In this Crackhow guide, we will walk you through the two methods which includes checking online through the portal or checking offline via SMS.

Method 1: Check NABTEB result checker Online

Checking NABTEB results is a simple process that may be done using the NABTEB online result-checking portal.

Step 1. Visit NABTEB website: To get started, open your browser and visit the official NABTEB website https://nabteb.gov.ng/ . On the page, click on "Result Checker" link on the top right corner of the screen.

After clicking the link, you will be directed to the login page of the result checker portal.

Step 2. Enter your candidate information: On the login page, type your unique Candidate Identification Number in the input field. Select the type of examination series you participated in [this could be May/June, November/December, Modular (March), Modular (June), or Modular (December)].

Choose the examination year you appeared in (e.g., 2024) and enter the card serial number located on the reverse side of your scratch card.

Note: The card serial number usually starts with an alphabet prefix followed by digits (e.g., N123456789).

Lastly, enter the 12-digit NABTEB result checker PIN on your scratch card (e.g., 012345678912).

Click "Submit" and wait patiently for the results window to load.

If you would prefer to receive your results via e-mail for added convenience, you will have to tick the "Send Results to e-mail" box and then enter a valid and active e-mail address before you click the "Submit" button.

This will send your NABTEB results directly to the provided e-mail address.

Method 2: Check NABTEB result on your phone

Another method to check your NABTEB result is to send an SMS on your phone. You do not need a scratch card with this method.

Go to the text messaging app on your phone and send an SMS to the short code 32327. The format for the SMS is:

NABTEB*ExamNo*PIN*ExamType*ExamYear to short-code 32327.

For example, to check for May/June results, write the format below:

• NABTEB*01001001*123456789012*MJ*2012.

To check for Nov/Dec results

• NABTEB*01001001*123456789012*ND*2012

Note: There should be no space in the message. Wait for your result to be delivered to your mobile phone via SMS.

Additional Tips:

• Make sure you have sufficient airtime before sending the SMS, as standard SMS charges may apply.
• Double-check your candidate number and PIN before submitting to avoid errors.
• Keep your scratch card safe after use, especially if you plan to check your result multiple times or need it for verification later.
