Job Description

As a Data Reviewer, you will play a vital role in ensuring accountability and proper management of malaria commodities (particularly SPAQ – sulphadoxine-pyrimethamine and amodiaquine) distributed during the 2025 Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention campaign.

Your role will involve:

• Collecting and reviewing health facility data.
• Verifying stock management and accountability of SPAQ.
• Interviewing health workers to assess knowledge of malaria commodity management.
• Conducting storage facility and inventory checks.
• Ensuring compliance with national supply chain guidelines.
• Using SurveyCTO to submit accurate field data including geolocations.

Responsibilities of Data Reviewers

• Visit assigned health facilities to collect and reconcile data on malaria commodities.
• Conduct physical counts and classify SPAQ commodities as good, bad, or expired.
• Retrieve unused SPAQ from health facilities and LGA stores.
• Assess and document store conditions for safety, security, and suitability.
• Interview health workers on their knowledge of commodity management and pharmacovigilance.
• Report on policy compliance and identify challenges faced during the 2025 SMC campaign.
• Provide recommendations for improving malaria commodity management in Nigeria.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Malaria Consortium Data Reviewer role, applicants must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of post-graduation experience in data collection, public health projects, or related roles.
• Prior experience as a data collector/record reviewer in public health projects is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under limited resources.
• Willingness to travel across assigned states.
