Good news for young Nigerians! The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) has officially reopened the application portal for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) Batch B recruitment.

If you missed the first batch, this is another chance for you to benefit from the government-backed initiative designed to empower young Nigerians financially and reduce unemployment across the country.

What is YEIDEP?

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) is a national empowerment scheme introduced by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to promote entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic self-reliance among Nigerian youths.

According to the Ministry, YEIDEP aims to empower young Nigerians economically while promoting national security through de-radicalisation and productive engagement.

Basicallly, YEIDEP is a youth-focused empowerment initiative that helps you start or grow a small business with financial support and training. It is fully backed by the Federal Government.

How Much Can You Get From YEIDEP?

Under the programme, qualified applicants can receive financial support ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000 depending on their business needs. The funds are meant to help young entrepreneurs:

Start new ventures

Expand existing businesses

Boost productivity in various key sectors

In addition, successful applicants will enjoy entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to business development tools to ensure their ventures thrive beyond the initial funding.

Who is Eligible to Apply for YEIDEP 2025?

To qualify for the YEIDEP Batch B programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  • Have a viable business idea or an already existing small business
  • Be willing to participate in all required training sessions
  • Open a YEIDEP account with one of the official partner banks — Lotus Bank, Keystone Bank, or Fidelity Bank

What Sectors Does YEIDEP Support?

YEIDEP focuses on youth interested or involved in key sectors that can drive Nigeria’s economic growth, such as Agriculture, Fashion and creative industries, Technology and ICT, Entertainment, Sports, Renewable energy.

How to Apply for YEIDEP 2025

First, open your browser and go straight to the official YEIDEP registration page at https://yeidep.org/register.php.

Don’t use any random links you find on social media. This is the only official site approved by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.

Once you’re on the page, take your time to fill out the registration form. You’ll be asked for your full name, National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), phone number, and other details.

You’ll also need to indicate the type of business you’re interested in; whether it’s agriculture, fashion, ICT, entertainment, sports, or renewable energy and briefly describe your idea or existing venture in the "Message" part of the form.

After you have filled and verified the information in the form, click the submit button.

Your personal data that is submitted will be only for the purpose of sharing with our partner Banks for the opening of the personal bank account, which you will require, in order to participate in this scheme and access its financial benefits.

Is It Safe to Provide Your NIN and BVN?

The FMYD has assured all applicants that their NIN and BVN are safe when submitted via the official portal.

Here’s what the ministry stated:

Dear applicant, please note that sharing your NIN and BVN with us on this portal is SAFE and it is only for the purpose of sharing with our partner Banks for the opening of the personal bank account, which you will require, in order to participate in this scheme and access its financial benefits.
